We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: CIB - GPS Technology

Global Payment Solution (GPS) Technology is one of the Service Lines under CIB Technology.  We are responsible for designing and building the infrastructure, and developing technical solutions to support our GPS business offering various cash management products to customers.  Besides, we have an Innovation team being ramped up to drive the technical delivery of various Innovation initiatives in GPS with new technologies including Blockchain, API, Data Analytics & Cloud Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Leaning.

 

The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)

  • Provide technical expertise on analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of HSBC GPS system.
  • Ensure that systems are implemented in accordance with IT standards.
  • Ensure system complies with group policies and standards
  • Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services

Principal responsibilities

  • Own the requirement gathering and data analysis issues and ensure its resolution by engaging appropriate teams.
  • Leading the discovery of regulatory projects, work with all source system BAs and ensure the data journey is reported.
  • Creation of Business requirement documents.
  • Play a key role in products delivery including detailed requirements analysis and preparing test strategies, estimates, test cases, execution, reports etc.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and project management teams to understand requirements and define test objectives.
  • Leading the delivery of test engineering, typically using agile and CI/CD methods including influencing how the teams develop user stories and acceptance criteria, typically deploying Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software by identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Perform different types of testing (Functional, UI, Smoke, Regression, Performance, Accessibility) also help in automation and performance testing.

Requirements

    What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Strong automation experience and the ability to specify, to develop and to implement automation frameworks such as
    • Cucumber and advice on industry best practice .
    • Strong Technical Business Analyst experience
    • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Scala, Java, Python, etc.).
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, etc.).
    • Extensive hands-on test experience within Agile projects, with a strong understanding of the Sprint, CI/CD and release testing lifecycles
    • Pro-active in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and execution
    • Good Communication and coordination skills
    • Self-motivated team player with demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Risk management skills
    • Collaborative working style
