We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Business: HASE Technology

Principal responsibilities

  • Work as HASE CMB Mobile App Technical Lead and provide support to the POD team and business across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and production support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.
  •  End to end technical accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
  • Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product technology direction.
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
  • Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.
  • Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
  • Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and enforce best practices for Mobile iOS and Android engineering etc.
  • Ensure timely evergreening of mobile App to fulfill Apple, Google and other software compliance requirements
  • Explore and adopt AI tooling (e.g. Github Copilot) to improve daily work efficiency and effectiveness.  
  • Ensure the application compliant with HSBC Group cybersecurity standards and fraud prevention requirements.

Requirements
    • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    •  Minimum 10 years of IT development experience including Mobile app engineering
    • Strong knowledge on Mobile native app development skills with iOS and Android (either one as primary and certain experience on the secondary), with MVC/MVP/MVVM framwork, as well as clientpack implementation.  
    • Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
    • Strong knowledge of networking, HTTPS, JSON protocol and syntax, JIRA, Jenkins (CICD exposure) and Confluence.
    • Implement all test activities including Unit Tests and automation test.
    • Strong knowledge of Software design and patterns, with solid cybersecurity knowledge.
    •  Excellent of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills with fluent Cantonese. Good command of written and spoken English is required.
    • Familiar with mobile app onboarding and submission process in Apple Appstore and Google Playstore.  
    • Flexible and adaptable in accommodating change of requirement and willing to take on new responsibilities when necessary

    What additional skills will be good to have?

    • Demonstrable experience of backend API development
    • Knowledge on e-Banking domains is highly preferred.
    • Technical knowledge in Cyber Security experience would be an advantage.
