We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) for infrastructure delivery teams.
- Guide and coach the team on Scrum and Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear backlog prioritization and delivery alignment.
- Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to enable high-performing, self-organizing teams.
- Drive the successful delivery of infrastructure projects, including on-premise and AWS cloud migrations, automation, and service sustainability initiatives.
- Track and report on team progress, sprint metrics, and project milestones to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to HSBC’s governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
- Promote a collaborative and transparent team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Support the adoption of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices within the team.
- Participate in formulating the infrastructure strategy for the region.
- Improve the efficiency of the IT infrastructure by aligning various projects to meet the strategic objectives.
- Project planning and monitoring in terms of IT solution cost, schedule and scope and reporting progress to control variances, if any.
- Ensure operational and system tests are successfully completed and results to be shared with teams.
- Provide estimates for recharge and resource to the business or application project manager.
- Ensure infrastructure billing is as per agreed estimates.
- Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders with regard to the progress of the Infrastructure related tasks in relation to the agreed timelines milestones.
- Manage and report risks associated with Infrastructure area.
- Ensuring infrastructure deliverables are as per the agreed quality, cost and on schedule.
- Conduct regular team meetings and produce periodic reports.
- Timely escalation of issues and mitigation actions.
- Manage and co-ordinate with IT teams to resolve post-production defects and provides regular updates.
- Act as the principal coordinating point for Infrastructure teams.
- Release the project to production and provide post implementation support.
- Assist the Application PM from Infrastructure perspective to ensure smooth handover to Support teams from application end.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication especially with senior stakeholders in Business & IT.
- Familiar with Jira, Confluence, DevOps tools, Agile methodologies, open to new Ways of Working.
- Experience of managing multi-disciplined, multi-location teams to timelines.
- Ability to work in an unstructured and changing environment and adaptable to managing changing priorities with the ability to pivot on strategy and priorities when business needs arise.

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

- The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
- This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
- Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
- The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
- The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
- This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
