Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank, is the leading index provider for the Hong Kong and mainland China markets. We calculate the internationally recognised Hang Seng Index (HSI) and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) and continue to broaden our index range to meet a wide spectrum of investor demand for different index investment solutions. At present, we compile over 1,000 real-time and daily indexes covering both Hong Kong and mainland China.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior ESG Index Manager.
Principal responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Product of HSIL, the job holder is accountable for the development of the ESG index portfolio ensuring the right products are delivered with high quality and service stability
- Review and revise index methodology for the best value of the ESG indexes
- Monitor and report on the performance of the ESG index, and identify opportunities for product improvement and client growth
- Maintain existing Index shelf, conduct regular review (and termination) exercise
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to generate product ideas and drive ESG index businesses
- Monitor ESG industry and regulatory bodies for key changes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with ESG data providers and collaborate with cross-functional teams internally to develop and maintain ESG index/data products
- Provide subject matter expertise on ESG indexes and provide necessary support to facilitate client’s product launch and maintenance
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in the investment management industry, preferably at least 3 years in ESG index product development
- Strong knowledge of market trends, investment strategies, and regulatory landscape related to ESG index products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to understand and address client needs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
