We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager Technology Control, Wholesale

Principal responsibilities

•Act as trusted advisor for senior management within remit area on how to accurately manage their operational risk i.e., risk assessments, control environment, issues management;
•Support the delivery of the Wholesale Technology risk & controls agenda through engaging and partnership with stakeholders across all three LODs
•Promote accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis, actively challenging poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviors;
•Provide specialist risk and control knowledge and insights, leading efforts to continuously improve the control environment and monitoring of risk, including behaviors;
•Advise and design process and controls in a commercially viable, practical and effective manner;
•Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment.
•Influence and shape the development and implementation of future-fit risk management and regulatory frameworks.
•Provide Senior Management with updates on any relevant changes to policy or projects related to operational risk that have an impact on their area of responsibility.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

•Must have a strong technology and technology controls knowledge i.e. architecture, platforms, resilience
•Proven experience in a technology risk/audit/controls or other related role;
•Markets experience/exposure is key;
•Previous experience of identifying, defining and solving problems that have impact on your work or the wider business;
•Proven track record of increasing business performance i.e. developing, aligning and translating strategies & plans to achieve business and functional goals;
•Strong communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders;
•A good understanding of the products used in this business area;
•Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
•Ability to present complex issues expertly and concisely to senior partners using non-technical language;
•Strong written, verbal and presentation skills;
•Flexible and adaptable, able to handle and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
•Active industry recognized certificates will be an asset, e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CCSP etc
