We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Officer, Regional Fund & Discretionary Services. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Support all Funds order processing such as order placement to Fund House and settlement, provide operational support and services for Funds end to end processing
  • Monitor and ensure orders are delivered to Fund Houses/Transfer Agents before cut-off time and provide accurate and quality work to minimize operational loss, reversal rate and complaint cases
  • Handle exceptions and problem cases under advice and supervision of manager and report irregularities and issues to supervisor promptly and accurately
  • Arrange payment settlement with client and counterparties and provide quality services to internal and external clients in accordance with all group standards
  • Follow up independently with queries raised, escalating to line manager where appropriate and back up other Colleagues of the team in accordance with back up arrangement as advised by managers
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to assist other team members and learn other tasks to become familiar with the full Unit Trusts operations flow
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal control documents and external regulatory requirements and ensure the service level on various tasks
  • Assist the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency, proactively initiate enhancement in job processes and support in system enhancement and ad hoc projects
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Excellent knowledge of the bank’s various funds products
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work at a fast-paced environment and appropriately balance quality and quantity of work
  • Must be able to work within tight deadlines and able to work very independently whilst being part of a larger team
  • Excellent communication skills, strong numerical and analytical skills and good problem-solving and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Knowledge of funds operations particularly from distribution side of business and familiar with the securities market and banking practice
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese
