HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services. 

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Product Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Assist with work on initiatives linked to the strategy and help support maintenance of product pricing strategies and maintenance of product rate cards
  • In line with the Transfer Agency global and regional strategy and in conjunction with IT, support the alignment of the TA product architecture and design to the IT architectural blueprint
  • Design and maintain global service definition documentation and relevant elements of sales collateral
  • Identify new and enhanced global product opportunities, providing input to market/product strategy initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership through promotion of best practices including regulatory & internal compliance
  • Maintain an awareness of market and competitor developments and position and differentiate the TA offering relative to the competition
  • Support product development and market research including focus groups (internal and external)
  • Work closely with the Sales and Business Development team on client pitches, RFPs, due diligence meetings and other discussions/negotiations and maintain marketing and sales collateral on an ongoing basis
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Strong business and market sense, a good mix of attention to detail, interpersonal and product/change & time management skills across multiple markets
  • Significant experience within Transfer Agency with exposure to operations
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the securities market and the associated market infrastructure. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the funds industry
  • Demonstrates a solid grasp of the technology and systems supporting Digital Distribution
  • Strategic mind-set, with strong conceptual, creative and analytical content with strong organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Personal qualities of stability, maturity and leadership. Team player and people motivator: energetic, results focused, change agent, with a strong work ethic
  • First class interpersonal, collaborative, relationship building and influencing skills with excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrate change management experience within Transfer Agency is also considered advantages; experience in multiple markets an advantage
