We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager
Business: Human Resource
Principal responsibilities
- Senior Project Manager will primarily support coordination of programme activities for the Human Resource Transformation function. He/ She is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the Programme Office. Key activities will include .Provide support, guidance and direction across multiple workstreams that form the programme, ensuring governance is in place, and there is alignment to agreed scope and timelines.
- Define and implement consistent tooling and ways of working to support governance processes
- Prepare and coordinate relevant governance and control activities; ensure risks/issues/actions raised are agreed and resolved/completed, tolerance control requests are raised in a timely manner
- Track status of programme deliverables and milestones, ensuring an accurate position against the plan is always reflected.Track and report that the Programme team is resourced appropriately and within budget, taking appropriate actions to manage these aspects when variance is forecast or realised.
- Engage with wider HR Transformation peers, to ensure any dependencies linked to the programme are understood, documented, tracked and managed effectively.
- Ensure that programme information e.g. risks, issues, is clearly articulated in change tooling, recorded at the appropriate level, surfaced in a timely manger and managed to resolution
- Support Programme Leadership in representing the programme aims / objectives, status, risks / issues, and financial performance at wider governance forums and with senior stakeholders as required. Define, manage and support project closure activities and lessons learned reviews
- Manage consolidation of reporting on financials, progress etc. across workstreams, working in partnership with Leads, Project Management Office and broader stakeholders. Establish methods to track delivery of benefits defined in the business case
- Work with Workstream leads and other stakeholders to organize and gather inputs to inform updates, proposed actions and recommendations. Monitor the status of programme activities transitioning into Business as Usual.
- Experience of Project Management on a large, global programme for more than 12+ years
- Ability to consolidate reporting across multiple workstreams, to provide accurate appraisal of programme status
- Experience of defining governance, ways of working and tooling usage across multiple workstreams
- Tenacity to support delivery against a complex plan, connecting with multiple stakeholders for updates and inputs
- Identifying risks, issues and dependencies, raising them at the appropriate level and tracking through to closure. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, building strong relationships and influencing key stakeholders
- Experience in tracking benefits, as defined in the programme business case.Experience in co-ordinating lessons learned or retrospectives across multiple workstreams, embedding changes where applicable
- Ability to summarise progress and articulate in simplified reporting for programme management.Comfortable using Excel, Jira and PowerPoint
- Confidence to work with challenging stakeholders and work with them on a regular basis
- Demonstrable ability to operate within a dynamic group-wide transformational change programme
