We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business: Regional CIO - ASP

Principal responsibilities

  • Contribute in all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Provide delivery advice with consideration of technical direction for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of HSBC IT systems to business
  • Develop an expert-level understanding of the appropriate business systems of the Group and their associated IT development requirements.
  • Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with the objective of optimizing operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships at a product/service level with the business.
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators.
  • Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering (e.g. development, system analysis etc).
  • Solid AS400 / AliCloud knowledge, or Java / Linux application development skill Spring, Springboot, Spring Cloud etc.
  • Able to solve technical problems.
  • Good Understanding of Agile development principles (Scrum, Kanban, MVP).
  • Good communication (verbal, written, email). Ability to explain complex ideas.
  • Solid banking knowledge and working experience.
  • Knowledge on CORE Banking systems and products will be an advantage.
