We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: CIB - GPS Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Analysis, Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements
- Conduct system test, user acceptance test and provide support on system implementation.
- Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
- Prepare project related documentation and ensure compliance and audit policies strictly followed
- Reduce technical risk / debt in solution proposal, system design and implementation
- Provide technical and domain consultancy and support in eChannels
- Provide knowledge transfer and on-job training / guidance to other team members with what you learnt
- Work closely with global and regional stakeholders on projects delivery
- Provide resilient technical support to our production service to ensure our service is in a health status in our production environment
- Maintain effective and good relationship between the business and the IT Project team, managing appropriate business expectations and negotiating compromise where appropriate
Requirements
- A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline
- At least 6 years of technical experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle, MongoDB, MQ, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Fluent English speaking and professional business writing skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and documentation skills
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
- Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Able to adapt in global team culture and communication in different locations
- Good understanding and experience on SDLC, Agile and DevOps
- Open-minded, reliable and independent
