We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Take the overall delivery lead role in HASE Channel team, leading the cross-location teams (HK/GZ/XA) for delivery for all BAU requests.
• Build a strong leadership team to lead the delivery for knowledge management system by using AI technology etc.
• Drive Agile and DevSecOps implementation and continual improvement.
• Build strong technical function with well-planned talent pipeline.
• Build strong partnership within HSBC group.
• Understand HSBC Group and Hang Seng Bank strategy, facilitate to define HASE Digital IT strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
• Customer centric to support our customer and bring in excellent customer experience. 
• Define technology strategy, objectives, key results to meet business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control. 
• Accountable for project delivery, in terms of ensuring deliverables in high quality, meeting project schedule, controlling cost consumption, managing project risks and issues with proactive mitigation approaches. 
• Manage and develop people in Xi’An site in terms of training, coaching, motivation, guidance to build a strong and full stack engineering team. 
• Embed HSBC group future state architecture to technology service. 
• Accountable for IT service, in terms of incident management, problem management, change management, timely fixes on vulnerability/defects/technical debt, comprehensive logging/monitoring/alerting (LMA) in place. 
• Sense of innovation to break the norm and introduce new tools, ways of working, optimization options to improve efficiency.

• Minimal 15 years’ experience of software developments via Agile methodologies.
• Solid experience in leading experienced engineers and multiple PODs for the delivery of complex projects and under diversified structure.
• Have End to End accountabilities and taken Service Owner role experiences.
• Posses strong technical capabilities (API, Microservices), knowledge and experience on mobile, DevSecOps, Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), Agile control Framework, AI et. 
• Are passionate about technology and look for opportunities to learn & bring new ideas to the team.
• Have experience with Java, web based technologies (React.JS, Angular.JS. JavaScript framework, HTML5, CSS), Big Data, Cloud(Ali/GCP/AWS/Azure) etc.
• Have experience with production support and incident management.
• Demonstrable ability to mentor, develop talent and motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels and career development.
