We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ETL Support Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Responsible for troubleshooting of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes within a production environment, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery by monitoring jobs.
• Exposure to Grid technology for deployment of DataStage and knowledge of DataStage Parallel jobs is needed.
• Given the current team is highly technical in nature, expectations are that the candidate has hands on knowledge in technologies like Teradata, DataStage, Linux.
• Previous experience of working on Data related initiatives is desirable.
• Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse systems and moving it to the BI.
• Manage current and future needs of the data design and content.
• Previous experience of business and solutions analysis, hands on experience of project initiation are essential.
• Knowledge of APIs will be an added advantage
• Identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with development teams to resolve critical data pipeline problems. 
• Able to understand \troubleshoot shell scripts and sql (Teradata) for regular maintenance jobs to improve performance. 
• Able to address the vulnerabilities and ensure the service is compliant with all the controls.
 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

•    At least 3- 6 years’ experience in IT 
•    Knowledge of:
o    Data Warehouse technologies
o    ETL Technologies
o    Banking specific Data models like IBM Banking Data Warehouse Model
o    Cloud technologies and architecture
o    Infrastructure Design and concepts 
•    Build trusting relationships with business stakeholders by accurately documenting decisions, conversations and objections.
•    Consistently meeting and delivering upon the business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge.
•    Develop and maintain automated scripts to streamline repetitive tasks like data validation, error handling, and job resubmission.
•    Working with business owners to understand their needs and to implement the cloud strategies designed to meet those needs.
•    Collaborate and work with development team on L3 issues and follow the task to completion. 
•    Ensures adherence to bank and information systems policies and procedures, security measures and audit standards.
•    Worked on Service Management Tools to track all the incidents, problems and changes and to plan the production changes as per the change management policies.
