Delivering high-quality research and analysis to investors around the world, the Global Research team covers economics, currencies, equities, fixed income and climate change to help our clients best navigate and make sense of turbulent global financial markets. Global Research offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Supervisory Analyst, Global Research.
Principal Responsibilities
- Review and approve research documents written by GBM analysts from a regulatory perspective to allow distribution in the Asia. All Research (including securities/stock-specific research produced by strategists and any other member of Global Research) must be approved by a registered Supervisory Analyst (SA) before it can be distributed into the Asia. Currency, economics and most deal-related research are not subject to this rule but are reviewed by an SA for reputational risks, quality control and commerciality in accordance with HSBC policies
- The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with Global Research management, product management, analysts, research compliance, other SAs and production staff, and will need to develop proficiency in various tech tools used by Global Research, including our proprietary publishing system
- BA/BS degree required
- Active Series 16 license required: Series 3 or 4 license a plus
- 3-5 years of experience as a Supervisory Analyst
- Proactive and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively; able to multi-task and work efficiently against tight deadlines in a globally joined up environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Prior exposure to financial statement analysis, good quantitative skills, and excellent writing skills
