"The Tech Subject Matter Expert (SME) job is responsible for providing subject expertise and guidance alongside the engineering function. The Tech SME has expert knowledge in one or more specific business domains products or applications. 
The Tech SME has niche skills and they are responsible to oversee the development, testing and implementation of the overall solutions for the business that leverage our technology.

  • Responsible for designing solutions in consultation with business stakeholders
  • Responsible for creating design documentation and showing impact indesign from a functional point of view.
  • Takes complete ownership of delivery of front to back complex functional changes.
  • Responsible for encouraging the culture of domain understanding within the team.
  • Responsible for leading front to back teams across multiple asset classes.
  • Maintain strong relations with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence business for Technology related decision making which supports shared goals.
  • Removes blockers and creates pathways during times of uncertainty to ensure resilience.
  • Responsible for nurturing talent within the team and for overall delivery of the team.
  • Responsible for mentoring and providing necessary subject matter expertise to the team when required.
  • Responsible for bringing a customer centric approach to all deliveries.
  • Proactively taking lead for any application/functional fixes
  • Expertise in system thinking and highly proficient in agile ways of working.
Requirements
  • Leadership and team working
    • Work with the product owner and team 
    • Participate as part of the DevOps leadership team 
    • Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Internal/External Key stakeholders, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams 
    • Good awareness of risk and compliance 
    • Good communication in English language and team work skills to collaborate along with global colleagues 
    • Ability to work proactively and under pressure 
    • Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security, risk and regulatory standards 
    • Good understanding on IT Infrastructure technical platforms / technologies 
    • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change.
  • Technical skills
    • Strong knowledge about the function and Senior technical skills  
    • A wide knowledge of IT Development life cycle. 
    • Framework practices and way of working such as Agile Methodology, SAFe, SCRUM. 
    • DEVOPS, Automation processes and tools 
    • Risk Management framework 
    • SW Architecture and Design 
    • IT infrastructure, platform and DB management 
    • Team working
