Role Purpose

·         Provide guidance and support the MSS business to ensure requirements of TPR are fully understood.

·         Monitor compliance with TPR Policy and Procedures in dealings with vendors for the supply of goods and services to Markets and Securities Services.

·         Support the local TPRO on delivering a continuous improvement program and delivering against agreed targets for managing the region/global business’s exposure to risk through its engagement with vendors.

·         Help ensure strong oversight of all vendors risks through use of CMS engagement monitoring tools and provide MSS visibility of existing and emerging risks.

·         Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the function and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices.

·         Support TPRO on the reporting of high risk vendor contracts and procurement high risks and highlight vendor risks and the action planned to address inadequate controls to executive management.

·         Ensure compliance with operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC FIM or regulatory standards and policies.

Activities

·         Build and maintain strong influencing relationships with the Third Party Engagement Owners (TPEMs) and SMEs such as TPSR, BCP, Legal, Compliance, Audit and CCO to improve their understanding of third party risk.

·         Proactively work with TPR teams, risk domain SMEs and Business Partners to identify areas of risk and reduce, mitigate or eliminate third party risk within the category plans

Requirements

 

Knowledge and experience/ qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor degree with a minimum of 5+ years related work experience required.

·         High proficiency of English language (both verbal and written).

·         Software: Working knowledge of RSA Archer 3PEET (or similar) Third Party Risk system, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.

·         Demonstrated success managing complex projects.

·         Self-starter with analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Organized, detail-oriented with ability to understand big picture.
