U.S. Equity Product Specialist, HSBC Bank USA N.A., Beverly Hills, CA:

 

Responsible for generating investment ideas and promoting them to internal and external audiences (Investment Counsellors, Relationship Managers, and clients). Responsible for advising and commenting on global stocks, even if there are regional specialities for content production (US, Europe, Asia). Contribute to the strategic House View, linking bottom-up stock recommendations into a broader top-down context. Stock picking alongside HSBC Private Bank’s Global Investment Committee strategic views, contributing to equity idea generation for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and generating ideas with the Structured Product teams. Maintaining coverage and following the development of existing investment ideas and themes, while simultaneously working on new ideas.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay range: $177,000 to $187,000 per year.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field, and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.   

 

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience.

 

Must have 5 years of experience in:

 

  • Equity sell-side;
  • Global equity markets;
  • Private banking advisory;
  • Business and valuation models;
  • Asset allocation;
  • Capital markets and investment management;
  • Programming experience in Bloomberg; and,
  • Synthetizing complex concepts to audiences of varying degrees of sophistication including Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.

 

Up to 30% domestic travel required.
