Communications for Businesses and Markets (CBAM) is part of our People, Governance and Communications (PG&C) structure. This team designs and implements communications strategies to support HSBC’s business objectives in line with our values, and enhance / protect our reputation among key stakeholders.

Report to: Head of Communications
Role Purpose
The role holder will support the positioning and communication efforts of HSBC's four entities in Taiwan.
In this role, you will:
-Plan, develop and manage media campaigns including but not limited to new service / product / key initiatives, ensuring messages resonate with the relevant media targets in Taiwan.
-Leverage integrated media platforms, e,g. media events, press release, social media posts, visual assets, etc., to build HSBC’s brand as appropriate.
-Develop executive employee communications agenda, and support / advise internal communications for businesses/functions in Taiwan.
-Drive new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of new service / products / key initiatives.
-Maintain great relationship with media to communicate our key messages smoothly and protect brand reputation.
-Propose communications plans / strategies to senior leaders, whilst advise them on internal and external reputation risk related to business and employee matters.
-Collaborate with Group / Regional communications to ensure consistency in messaging and align key focuses.
-Support the Head of Communications in managing media relations and handling crisis communications.

Information
-Extensive communications professional experience, preferably within a Multi-National Company or large local corporation.
-Knowledge of the financial service industry and local financial media is a must.
-Strong verbal and written communications skills in English and Chinese.
-Proven ability to operate within a global matrix and prioritise competing demands.
-Proven ability to align to a global strategy, whilst maintaining an awareness of local sensitivities and nuance.
-Strong interpersonal skills and personal presence/credibility with senior stakeholders.
-Strategic planning and project management skills.
