We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Service Management

Business: GPB and AM Tech

Principal responsibilities
The Head of Service Management is accountable for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the systems and services within the iWPB Wealth & Premier Solutions department. 
This role will drive the adoption of SRE principles, implement automation, and foster a continuous improvement culture to build resilient, self-healing systems that can scale seamlessly.  

- Lead the implementation of SRE practices, including monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning, to ensure system reliability and performance.  
- Develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.  
- Define metrics and tooling to monitor availability and take a holistic view of system health.  
- Define service-level indicators (SLIs), objectives (SLOs), agreements (SLAs), and error budgets for WPS systems.  
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards across all systems and services.  
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and blameless postmortems.  

Requirements

- Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles, with a strong background in cloud technologies and architecture.  
- Expertise in automation, monitoring, and incident management tools and practices.  
- Excellent knowledge of:  
  - APIs and messaging infrastructure  
  - Integration concepts and patterns  
  - Security concepts and design  
  - Infrastructure design and scalability  
- Hands-on engineering capabilities in state-of-the-art technologies, with full-stack software engineering experience (front-end, middleware, backend).  
- Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.  
- Experience working in a DevOps-focused environment and Agile teams.  
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations to internal and external stakeholders.  
- Commitment to assigned tasks, attention to detail, and willingness to dedicate efforts to achieve goals.  
- A university graduate, preferably with an MS or PhD from a top international university.  
- Capability to read and apply insights from academic and research papers in banking, financial services, and technologies.  
 Business knowledge in financial services is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:  
- Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit and ability to drive change.  
- Proven contributions to international academic, industrial, or open-source communities.  
- Experience in adopting and integrating cutting-edge technologies into operational practices.
