What you’ll do:

Job Family Classification and Description:

  • Information Management job family is designed to cater to the data needs of business. It covers sourcing of data and building structured data lakes, designing data marts generating Business Insights. Key responsibilities also include but not limited to: creation of a robust data foundation and continuous update of these datasets, to support Analysis and reporting, identify opportunities for data monetization, leverage BI and Visualization tools to deliver key business insights and develop self-serve BI solutions to empower the business to make informed decisions. The team members embed agile delivery methodologies to continuously keep refining the data models using new and emerging techniques. This team also acts as a bridge between IT and the business stakeholders.
  • The role holder needs to demonstrate strong sense of ownership and accountability on Business Intelligence development projects through strong full stack development, project management skills and regular communication with internal project managers and business stakeholders
  • Working as an individual contributor, provide good recommendation / insights and enhance quality of output through tying the analysis back to Business trends, product knowledge and market dynamics
  • Expertise in technical skills Full stack development, BI tools like Tableau/Qlik)
  • Drives the optimization initiatives for existing processes
  • Understand personal training needs and take initiative to follow through personal development plan in conjunction with line manager
  • The role primarily supports the Unlock pillar of the strategy.

The job accountabilities of this role are:

Customer/Stakeholder

  • Work with multiple customers and stakeholders on Business Intelligence reporting projects
  • Develop strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise
  • Drive innovation for self and the team to deliver incremental business value
  • Demonstrate adequate level of business knowledge
  • Have a real passion for data and a commitment to shift the industry towards forward thinking data analytics

Service Delivery

  • Ability to convert business needs into technical/functional requirements and analysis/ MI Reports
  • Provide flawless execution by the team through effective project management and incorporating necessary quality checks that has been signed off by seniors /manager
  • Demonstrate acceptable standards of productivity
  • Contribute towards the quantifiable process improvement goals of the team
  • Support the build of BI dashboards, insights and data assets aligned to business outcomes and strategic data models
  • Support the gathering of detailed data requirements from stakeholders to deliver analytics use cases (e.g. triggers)
  • Support the delivery of analytics PoCs that allow our businesses and clients to identify new opportunities
  • Support the leveraging of current and emerging data and analytical techniques to address business challenges in an actionable way
  • Support the unlocking of opportunities to derive higher returns with improved Data Quality
  • Support the uncovering of data inconsistencies across consuming systems
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Front end development:

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building user interfaces.   
  • Proficient with frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Svelte (preferred) for building dynamic and responsive web applications.      
  • Extensive experience developing data-driven visualizations using D3.
  • Extensive experience developing and integrating RESTful and client-side JavaScript APIs.
  • Extensive experience with build tools (Rollup.js preferred) for bundling and optimizing front-end assets             

Responsive Design:

  • Designing and developing applications that work seamlessly on various devices and screen sizes.

Source Control Principles:

  • Using source control systems like Git for collaborative development (Branching/Pull Requests/Merge Requests etc)  

Testing:

  • Writing unit tests and conducting integration testing for both front-end and back-end components. 

Functional / Non-Functional Testing

  • 6 plus years of experience with Master’s degree or equivalent from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations. 
  • Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude. Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Data Visualization and self-service Dashboards/reporting in Qliksense
  • Excellent understanding of visualization best practices, working with third party extensions
  • Excellent creative skills and ability to visualize complex concepts and turn it into user friendly solutions
  • Excellent understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling and experience of working with large data sets
  • Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude. Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP), Data Modelling and exposure to Data Quality assessment is a plus

  • Builds and retains strong relationships with stakeholders within and outside of the organisation
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people to achieve results
  • Proactively challenge and positively influence business SMEs and senior Stakeholders to ensure data solutions are sustainable and compliant
