We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as an expert in Java development in a transformation to service architecture.
  • Advice on, and comply with CICD, DevOps and Agile practices.
  • Work in all stages of the development pipeline: working with the business to gather requirements, implement those requirements with automated testing, and present the results to the business for review.
  • Work closely with Business & IT Project Managers to ensure delivery of solutions consistent with Strategic Architecture
  • Provide input to design discussions and project planning meetings.
  • Provide support to production.
  • Deliver valuable working software to the business with a constant focus on technical process improvement.
Requirements
  • 7+ years’ experience in enterprise software development.
  • Proven strong expertise in Java, Spring framework, REST API, and Message Queue.
  • Clear understanding of Microservices, deployment through Containers, and strategies for building and deploying highly available products.
  • Hands-on experience with Clouds technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with big data processing e.g. Spark.
  • Sound security design and coding practices.
  • A clear understanding of GIT, and different approaches to a CICD pipeline.
  • Experience in DevOps and Agile development.
  • Highly developed reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Good at both oral and written English, can effective communicate with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Disciplined approach to IT systems implementation.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution.
  • Appetite, enthusiasm and desire to initiate change and innovation.
